Sr. High Mission Trip

SR. HIGH MISSION TRIP 2012
KOKOMO, INDIANA
July 8 thru July 13, 2012
(Sunday thru Friday)

Cost:  $300

MISSION TRIP MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 4, 2012 AT NOON IN THE SCHOOL GYM.
(Please download the handout below for more information and what to bring!)

Why was this site chosen?
Upon hearing of Kokomo, you may immediately go to the Beach Boys tune of the same name.  However, Kokomo, Indiana cannot be compared to a tropical island getaway!  Kokomo is known as the "City of Firsts" for many achievements, but mainly for being a pioneer of the auto industry in the USChrysler Group, one of the major employers in town, recently went through bankruptcy and there was a lot of uncertainty about the future of the company.  That uncertainty took an economic and emotional toll on the struggling community as they faced the reality that the backbone of their community could crumble before their eyes - and would take many residents down with it.  Kokomo has recently been called "America's Third Most Dying Town" by Forbes magazine.  Your participation will bring hope to Kokomo through serving at local organizations.

More information can be found by downloading the document below.
