Hey there! First, I just want to say how psyched I am to be here! I know God has awesome plans for the Youth Department and students and I CANNOT WAIT to see how He uses me.
Since this is the "Getting to Know Gary Zimmerman" section, here's some facts (interesting or not-you decide) about me.
I was born August 22, 1985 in Overland Park, Kansas. My parents are still happily married after 26 years! Go Mom and Dad! I have 2 younger brothers, Kevin (21) & Paul (17). They rock! I lived in Oak Forest, IL from 6th grade (Fierke Elementary, Central Middle School) to sophomore year (Sandburg). I actually attended church and Youth Group here at Trinity! We moved back to Kansas & I completed High School. I went to college at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska and graduated with a degree in Psychology. I will be DCE certified and also have a dual emphasis in Youth Ministry and Family Life Ministry. (okay, enough of the technicalities)
Interests: Jesus, Youth Ministry, having fun, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Raphael is awesome!) serving others, music, movies, frisbees, golf, camping, barbeque, ultimate frisbee, swing dancing, friends, food, stand-up comics, sports, road trips, living life to the fullest!!!
Sports: To play - basketball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee.
To watch - football, baseball and hockey.
Favorite Teams: University of Kansas!!! Go Jayhawks!!!, Concordia Bulldogs, WHITE SOX, Royals, Da BEARS!!!, KC Chiefs, and BLACKHAWKS!!!
Music: I listen to a little bit of everything from Country to Rap to Rock to Praise and Worship.
